Overview

The key goal of the Coffee Host at QuickChek is the overall performance of the Coffee Area. The Coffee Host is responsible for a specific department in the store and may have additional responsibilities such as meeting sales goals, achieving shrink goals, maintaining in-stock conditions, following planograms, maintaining a clean department, and ordering product for the department. Coffee Hosts need to be able to provide exceptional customer service while encouraging, training, and motivating Team Members to complete all shift tasks and achieve goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and tend to customers in a prompt, efficient, friendly manner
  2. Keep department in stock and set to planogram
  3. Maintain a clean, well-merchandised, and labeled department
  4. Sweep, mop, and clean, as necessary
  5. Follow the sales program
  6. Review the Food Service P&L Reports
  7. Ensure all equipment is operational, complete preventive maintenance, and call for service when necessary
  8. Work closely with the Food Service Leadership Team to achieve sales goals
  9. Assist in the Food Service Area and Checkout Area, as needed
  10. Ensure all displays are to standard and signage is correct
  11. Keep up-to-date on new policies and procedures
  12. Attend all mandatory/scheduled store meetings
  13. Train new Team Members, as needed, including how to properly make coffee and Q Café items
  14. Order product twice a week
  15. Communicate any questions, concerns, or issues to the Store Leader timely
  16. Communicate with all shifts in order to ensure smooth operation of the Coffee Area
  17. Pass all Mystery Shops and store walks
  18. Practice Loss Prevention policies

Qualifications

  1. Must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively with customers and Team Members
  2. Must be self-motivated
  3. Must respond to customers and daily tasks with a sense of urgency
  4. Must arrive timely and have an excellent attendance record
  5. Open and honest in communications
  6. Must wear proper uniform, including name badge, at all times and enforce the policy
  7. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
  8. Completion of required training programs and learning activities
  9. Personal behaviors must align with QuickChek’s values
  10. Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  11. Ability to maintain QuickChek grooming and hygiene standards
  12. Ability to perform basic math calculations
  13. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English
  14. Must be alert and attentive; impairment for any reason is not permitted
